Shixing Red Desert

In Mashi town of Shixing county, there is a magical land, a long and narrow red basin, where the purple soil presents a rare red landscape in the sunshine. This red-hot land also has an even more unexpected business card—the Dinosaur Ruins. Dinosaurs made their home here 65 million years ago and were buried here.

 

This fiery land, like the Flaming Mountain of Journey to the West, once dug out dinosaur eggs, is known as the best place to study dinosaurs in the world, and is one of the most interesting places for dinosaur researchers.
