Yuedan Highway of Shaoguan was Listed as National Demonstration Case!

Recently the General Office of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the General Office of the Ministry of Transport, the General Department of the State Railway Administration, the General Department of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the General Office of the State Post Office and the General Office of the State Railway Group announced the List of the Second Batch of Demonstration Cases of the Integration of Transportation and Tourism Development. The Yuedan Highway Project in our city was successfully selected as a model of rural tourism highway.

Yuedan Highway is a key tourism highway project of the Municipal Committee and the Municipal Government to promote the upgrading and development of "Dadanxia" tourism and realize the integration of Danxia Mountain and Shaoguan City. There are 9 roads in the project, with a total length of about 54.6 kilometers and a total investment of 117 million yuan. The project started construction at the end of April 2019 and was completed at the end of October of that year.

Yuedan Highway passes through Shiliting Town, Lishi Town and Danxia Street Office of Renhua County in Zhenjiang District to Danxia Mountain Scenic Area, effectively connecting more than ten villages along the line, such as Huangzhu Village, Xinqiao Village and Central Village, as well as the most distinctive scenic spots such as Smooth Sailing, Tianluofeng and Bazhai Scenic Area, involving about 20000 local people. It organically connects Shaoguan City and Danxia Mountain Scenic Area, melting mountains into cities and cities into mountains.The magnificent scenery of Danxia Mountain and the beautiful pastoral scenery are strung together into a chain, surrounded by mountains and rivers along the way, and everywhere is picturesque and pleasing to the eye.

Since its completion in October 2019, Yuedan Highway has held many large-scale sports events such as Cycling around Danxia Mountain, Hiking through Danxia Mountain and Danxiashan International Mountain Marathon. The road conditions have been widely praised by all walks of life.

At present, Yuedan Highway has become a net famous road. Next, the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government will, in accordance with the requirements of the most beautiful tourist highway standards in Guangdong, promote the transformation of forest forms, undergrowth economy and pastoral features along the Yuedan Highway, and continue to enrich and improve the supporting facilities along the Yuedan Highway, so as to make the Yuedan Highway the most beautiful road, a way to wealth，and a path to public mind.
