Aim for World Class! Danxia Mountain Has a Big Move

The color is like bright red concolor, and the brilliance is like bright rosy clouds. Danxia Mountain, the world's "Danxia Landform" naming site, world natural heritage and world geological park, was officially launched on September 26 by Shaoguan, an excellent tourist city in China, in cooperation with Xiangyuan Culture & Tourism Company, a listed company, and Xiangyuan Holding Group, one of the top 20 tourism groups in China. It has become a project to implement the spirit of the provincial tourism development conference and start construction on the first day after the conference.

 

Facing the red mountain and green water and misty clouds, the construction site of Danxia Mountain Cultural Tourism Complex Project which covers an area of 53703m2 and a building area of 73036m2, integrates eco-tourism, parent-child leisure, romantic vacation, entertainment and shopping. It includes comprehensive tourist services, World Natural Heritage Protection, World Geopark Museum Exhibition, National 5A Tourist Scenic Area Exhibition, Immersive Danxia Cultural Digital Product Experience and other supporting functions, as well as new main entrance overall commerce, high- class resort hotels, the hydrophilic recreation area, as well as the wharf, outdoor parking lot and other projects, are scheduled to be completed and put into operation within 36 months from the start of construction. As the only world natural heritage in Guangdong Province, Danxia Mountain, composed of red sandstone and characterized by red cliffs, is the core tourism resource in Shaoguan. Its typical, representative, diverse and irreplaceable geographical features make it a research base, popular science tourism and teaching practice base for Danxia landforms in China and even in the world. Nowadays, more than 150000 people go to Danxia Mountain for study and scientific research every year. In addition, in recent years, Shaoguan has regularly held hiking, cycling, marathon, cultural festival and other activities. In 2024, the city has launched more than 20 sports events.
