17 Townships in Shaoguan City Won 20 Provincial Awards
Recently, the evaluation results of the 2022 Guangdong Province Excellent Rural Revitalization Research Report and Excellent Rural Revitalization Plan were announced, and the rural revitalization research reports and rural revitalization plans of 17 townships in Shaoguan city won 20 awards.
This evaluation is jointly organized and carried out by the Provincial Rural Revitalization Bureau and the Southern Magazine, aiming to better summarize the good ideas and practices of the cities in the province so as to comprehensively promote rural revitalization in the province, and give full play to the exemplary role of advanced model cities. The list of winners is determined after the preliminary evaluation and recommendation of the city governments, experts review, on-site verification and final review.

A total of 103 excellent rural revitalization research reports and 92 excellent rural revitalization plans were selected. The following townships in Shaoguan won awards.
●Mashi Town of Shixing County won the first prize for excellent rural revitalization research report
●Longxian Town of Wengyuan County and Huangpu Town of Lechang City won the second prize;
●Guandu Town of Wengyuan County, Siqian Town of Shixing County and Zhuji Town of Nanxiong City won the third prize
●Wujing Town of Nanxiong City, Jiufeng Town of Lechang City, Chengkou Town of Renhua County and Luoba Town of Shixing County won the honorable mention award
●Guandu Town of Wengyuan County won the first prize for rural revitalization planning
●Maofeng Town of Nanxiong City, Longxian Town of Wengyuan County, and Daqiao Town of Renhua County won the second prize
●Yaotian Town of Xinfeng County, Jiufeng Town of Lechang City, Mashi Town of Shixing County, Yiliu Town of Ruyuan Yao Autonomous County, Dengfang Town of Nanxiong City, and Langtian Town of Lechang City won the third prize
Mashi Town of Shixing County, which won the first prize in the province for its excellent rural revitalization research report, has formulated a well-thought plan for its comprehensive rural revitalization and long-term development through field research, consultation and expert guidance. It has also created a 24-character development policy of "Party Committee Leadership,Tabacco Plantation, Industry Development, Ecology Protection, Culture Activity and Harmonious Life" to guide its rural revitalization work, which has lead Mashi Town to a development "fast track".

Guandu Town of Wengyuan County, which won the first prize in the province for its excellent rural revitalization planning, takes the integrated development of primary, secondary and tertiary industries as the power source for its high-quality development. Based on the overall development pattern of "One Belt, Two Pillars and Four Districts" that has been set in its rural revitalization plan, it focuses on key tasks in seven major areas of developing promising industries, infrastructure, public services, consolidating and expanding the achievements of poverty alleviation, ecological environment, coordinated development of urban and rural areas, and township governance and management. At present, Guandu Town has developed 67 key projects with a total investment of 2.85 billion yuan, and 27 reserve projects with a total investment of 7.91 billion yuan, aiming to form a industrial pattern of "One Master Plan, One Project Guide and One Industry Brochure ", and to better construct the Poultry Modern Agricultural Industrial Park and turn Guandu into a industrial zone that will facilitate Shaoguan city’s integration into the development of the Greater Bay Area.

Winning the 20 provincial awards is a major achievement of the city's vigorous promotion of rural revitalization, fully showcasing the strong inherent potential and innovative vitality of the city's rural revitalization and development. In the next step, Shaoguan city will encourage and lead all the townships to create their own rural revitalization research reports and plans and effectively support the implementation of the plans.
