Shaoguan is one of the regions with the richest tourism resources and the finest tourism culture in Guangdong province. There is a diversity of tourism resources, such as landscape ecology, historical culture ,folk customs, hot spring leisure, cultural sites and rural leisure, which generate 17 world-class and national scenic spots, including one 5A scenic spot and 10 4A scenic spots, 20 3A scenic spots. Some scenic spots are famous at home and abroad, such as the world natural heritage and the world geological park Mount Danxia, Nanhua Zen Temple, Zhuji Ancient Lane, Meiguan Ancient Road, "Maba People" Ruins, Ruyuan Grand Canyon, forming a tourist feature which combines natural landscape and cultural experience.
